Your Security
How Do We Protect Your Security?
WorkCompare.com has security measures in place to help protect the loss, misuse and alteration of the information under our control. All information is stored in a secure operating environment. When sending sensitive information across the Internet - including your login ID, password and purchasing information such as credit cards - we use Secure Socket Layer (SSL) encryption provided by Comodo (UserTrust.com). Credit card information entered on the Site is immediately transmitted to Authorize.com as described below, and no record of it is stored on the Site. Internally, all client information is protected with multiple security checks. Employee access to the system is limited to the functionality necessary for each person's job. Relevant employees are informed of our security policies and their access to applications and data on our network.
If you still do not feel comfortable about leaving your credit card information on our secured Web site, please contact our client service department at (626) 578-9353 and we'll be happy to help you with your order or subscription.
Firewall Technology. WorkCompare.com uses firewall technology as another layer of protection designed to prevent unauthorized access to or from a private network when connected to the Internet. All data passing into or out of our network must first pass through the firewall. The firewall reviews each piece of data to make sure it meets our security criteria. The firewall blocks any data that does not meet the security criteria.
The Storage of Your Information. WorkCompare.com stores your information on a database server, which is separate from our Web server. Even in the unlikely event that someone gains unauthorized access to our Web site, they could not access your data.
Where and When Do We Collect Information?
Subscriber Registration. Registration on WorkCompare.com is strictly voluntary. “Registration Information” consists of the Subscriber’s contact information including name, organization, address, phone number and e-mail address. Registration Information is required for all Subscribers, including sub-users of Business Subscribers, but we recognize that this information is personal for each Subscriber and, except as we explain below, we do not give it out to third parties without the approval of the Subscriber or the Member Administrator. Becoming a Subscriber on WorkCompare.com allows you to access the site in accordance with your subscription level and our Terms of Use.
Business Subscribers to WorkCompare.com. Business Subscribers provide Registration Information for a Member Administrator and for each individual who is authorized as a Sub-user, and the necessary credit card information for subscription fee billing. No credit card information is shared with third parties except for Authorize.net as described below and no credit card information is stored on this Site. Becoming a Business Subscriber to WorkCompare.com provides you with the benefits described in the Subscriber section of WorkCompare.com site, including access to certain content that is not available to persons who are Basic Subscribers.
Authorizing Sub Users. If you choose to become a Business Subscriber you will have the option of authorizing other users to access WorkCompare.com through your account as a Sub-user. This process requires you to provide us with your authorized Sub-user’s Registration Information as described above. We recognize that the Registration Information of Sub-users is also personal information and, except as we explain below, we do not give it out to third parties without your approval or the approval of the Sub-user. Becoming an authorized Sub-user on your WorkCompare.com Business Subscriber account allows your Sub-users to access the site in accordance with our Terms of Use, including access to certain content that is not available to persons who are Basic Subscribers.
What Information Do We Collect?
Like most Web sites, WorkCompare.com is often able to detect and store your IP address and the Web site that referred you to our site. WorkCompare.com logs IP addresses, or the location of your computer on the Internet, for systems administration and troubleshooting purposes, to collect Web traffic and usage patterns information, to help diagnose problems with our servers, to administer our Web site and to provide adequate capacity for our visitors. Your IP or domain name address is used to help identify you and your search requests. WorkCompare.com also uses cookies. In no instance are we able to determine your e-mail address or any other personal information—unless you specifically provide it to us. We also collect personal information from you on WorkCompare.com when you provide it and in some cases, from third party sources such as credit card companies in order to ensure that your credit card information is up-to-date.
Information that you, or any Sub-user, transmit to the Site for purposes of generating a WorkCompare pre-quote estimate is processed by WorkCompare’s proprietary algorithm, and is not transmitted to any third party. Such information is stored in our secure database server.
How Do We Use Your Information?
We use the information you provide us in order to contact you or your authorized Sub-users from time to time in the course of our normal business activities. Examples of WorkCompare.com’s business activities include: Communicate with Basic Subscribers and Business Subscribers about updates and changes to WorkCompare.com; collect information from Basic Subscribers and Business Subscribers about preferences; charge for and solicit subscriptions; promote other WorkCompare.com products/services; troubleshoot and resolve issues relating to our technology or business processes; and to assist Basic Subscribers and Business Subscribers in focusing their search for information.
Credit Card Policy. To simplify activating your subscription to WorkCompare.com as a Business Subscriber, we request your credit card number, its expiration date, the card verification number and your billing address. We transmit this information safely over the Internet in encrypted form trough a third party provider, Authorize.net. Your credit card information is not stored by WorkCompare.com. It is stored by Authorize.net on their secure server. This information is used only to bill you for your subscription to WorkCompare.com or other services available on WorkCompare.com.
Do We Share Your Information?
WorkCompare.com does not disclose, share or sell personal information, including e-mail addresses, mailing information, telephone numbers, or other Registration Information to third-parties engaged in e-commerce or otherwise. Our normal business activities require us to share your personally identifiable information with a limited number of intermediaries. These intermediaries use your information in connection with processing payments for online transactions and with delivery of e-mail and postal mailings to our registered users. We do not permit these intermediaries to use, store or retain this information for secondary purposes, unless they indicate otherwise in communications to you. You may also opt out of having your personal information shared with these third parties by sending a request to have your WorkCompare.com Basic Subscriber or Business Subscriber account deactivated to feedback@workcompare.com. If you do so, however, you will not be able to take advantage of many of our features, or even continue as a Basic Subscriber or Business Subscriber to WorkCompare.com.
We do retain the right to share and transfer all Basic Subscriber and Business Subscriber information with a purchaser of our company or all or substantially all of our assets if that purchaser agrees to abide by the terms of this Policy.
Third Party Advertising. Advertisers appearing on this Web site will have access to information about your visits to this site, such as number of times you have viewed an advertisement. This information is used to serve ads to you. In the course of serving advertisements to this site, our third-party advertiser may place or recognize a unique cookie on your browser.

Notification of Changes
If we decide to materially change our privacy policy, we will post changes on this page so that you are always aware of what information we collect, how we use it and under what circumstances we disclose it. Regardless of later updates, we will never use the information you submit under this current policy in a new way without first providing you an opportunity to opt out or otherwise prevent that use (we will post a notification of such changes 30 days prior to their implementation).

WorkCompare.com employs cookies (small pieces of text stored on your computer) to recognize you and your access privileges. Upon request, WorkCompare.com will:

- Correct personal information that you state is erroneous
- Permit you to "opt out" of further e-mail contact (excepting notification from WorkCompare.com of major changes to the service) while still allowing access to the site
